Seminar Systems Theory and Control Engineering

Learning ojectives and acquired competences:

Upon completion of the module, students will be able to

  • conduct advanced mathematical analyses of concepts in systems theory and control engineering and critically assess them,
  • research, understand, and synthesize scientific literature on a specialized topic,
  • develop and present proofs, derivations, and theoretical arguments independently,
  • reflect on and evaluate new methods and models within the broader context of control theory, including underlying assumptions and limitations, as well as
  • communicate results clearly, engage in professional discussions, and provide constructive peer feedback.

 Contents:

The module covers advanced topics in systems theory and control engineering, which change each time the module is taught. The focus is on in-depth discussion and mathematical analysis of already known concepts, for example from nonlinear control theory, and the exploration of new control engineering concepts.
